Last weekend was dedicated to films which were about the same topic somehow: Relationships.
The first one was The Other Boleyn Girl. A nice one for those who like castles, kings, queens and dirt. There’s no war, no blood; only the dirty relationships between people and how Anne Boleyn turned out to be a queen. Although it may seem a little cliché at first, there’s a very tense scene implying incest, but I won’t spoil it by telling you right now! 🙂 Definitely worth watching it.
The second one was another Woody Allen’s film, You’ll Meet A Tall Dark Stranger. I must confess that’s the second film of his I watch and really enjoy. Perhaps because I’ve been watching them through a different perspective, without judging it beforehand. Well, if you like open endings and films that make you think some things in your life over, then this one is for you.
The last one, The Open Road, was more about family relationship and it is set in the US. Don’t let Justin Timberlake put you off though; he’s quite ok as the famous retired baseball player’s son. Not a breathtaking story, but surely a real one that happens all the time. See it for yourself and let me know your thoughts on it.
